Meet Supervisor Burger
Proven Leadership.
Local Commitment.
Sarah Burger, a Saratoga Springs native, practicing attorney at Burger Law Group PLLC and business owner, was first elected to serve as Saratoga Springs County Supervisor in November 2025. Her first general election was won by the most votes in any city-wide competitive election since 2013.
Sarah took office on January 1, 2026 and was appointed at the County organizational meeting to the public safety, economic development and legislative and government affairs standing committees where she proudly serves alongside her fellow supervisors working across the aisle on issues impacting our City and County.
Since taking office as County Supervisor, she has increased transparency in county government by appointing the first Citizens Advisory Committee whose members come from various backgrounds, city neighborhoods and demographics, meeting at least monthly to discuss various city and county issues, practically functioning as a local think-tank.
Sarah is working to ensure city taxpayers receive their fair share, including, for the first time, requesting a host community fee to help offset public safety costs associated with hosting the state-mandated Code Blue shelter since 2013. She is also a steadfast advocate for addressing homelessness across the city and county, including documented needs that extend beyond the state’s Code Blue mandate.
In her role as County Supervisor, she was also appointed to the Board of Directors of the Saratoga North County Continuum of Care which is a collaborative planning body designated by HUD, encompassing Saratoga, Warren, Washington, and Hamilton Counties. Its mission includes preventing and ending homelessness by coordinating housing and support services, managing funding applications, and engaging community stakeholders.
Sarah has served on the Saratoga County Democratic Committee since 2010, was Chair of the Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee from 2019-2021 and has been on the New York State Democratic Committee since 2020, representing the 113th Assembly District and since 2021 the 4th Judicial District.
As County Supervisor Sarah intends to open up the decision making process, strengthen social services and invest in long-term solutions like clean energy and sustainable infrastructure with the goal to improve quality of life, keep taxes low and ensure Saratoga Springs get its fair share.
